Review on LiNKFOR HDMI Capture Card: 1080P HD Video Game Recorder & Live Streaming for Windows Mac OS by Ryan Gilliam

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Surprisingly good for the price

You've probably seen a lot of these things popping up all over Revain. They all look a little different, but inside they work with the same innards. Plug in an HDMI camera (or even a device like an iPad) and it will show up as a webcam in Zoom, Google Meet, Skype, etc. with one of these adapters. It works great and does exactly the same thing as the devices I paid a lot more for a few years ago. The maximum resolution is 1080p at 30 frames per second. It will be 4k but downgraded to 1080p. Game video recording is a little less smooth at this resolution and frame rate, although the card supports 720p and 480p recording at 60 fps. For the techies, this is a USB UVC device, meaning it will work with any USB host and any software that works with webcams. The video is transmitted in MJPEG format. Note that not all camcorders output a "clean" signal without camera control information, but many do. It's also one of those items that I warn people to buy at their own risk. These capture cards are made by different vendors but are basically the same.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs
