I had a similar bookcase system from Sony that lasted 18 years. The servo motor that loads and unloads CDs wears out completely in this old system. Because this device has lasted so long, I've decided to stick with the same brand. This new device was easy to set up. I will only be using it for playing CDs (although it has one or two other features) and my rating is based on that. I stress tested the device with music from Heart (Magic Man, Crazy on You), Steppenwolf (Magic Carpet Ride), and Ambrosia (Nice, Nice, Very Nice). Very happy with the sound.
