Military Vet with PTSD, Door Slamming Triggers Panic Attack
I have three young children who love slamming doors which instantly flips the switch and I yell at them and spend the next one or two Minutes trying to calm me down from a panic attack (rapid heartbeat, adrenaline, anger). They're just little kids. I put this felt around the door frames of all my doors and my god yes thank GOD. The door no longer slams. Good quiet soft landings for all my doors. Life changes. Gone are the closed doors that sway in the wind as I try to sleep at night. As such, I don't often wake up to random knocks and squeaks.
