Our chihuahua pup loves this cavernous, snuggly and soft bed. Chihuahuas love donkeys so we thought this might be a good choice. We pat ourselves on the back for this choice! When she gets tired of playing, she walks away, sometimes further back, sometimes with her head out, still watching us. But soon she's fast asleep, so it should be reassuring and make her feel safe. The hole appears to be closing but stays open just enough for her to easily get in. And it's not heavy, so it doesn't put any pressure on her when she's in it - it acts like a blanket. We also bought her other beds. (It's hard not to oversell when you're waiting for a new puppy to arrive.) This is the lowest entry bed. She gets there with her short legs. She's having a hard time with other beds now.
