These are very good pencils. I like variety, although there is a lot of grey. I'd rather have more reds and blues than all the grays. Pencils are a bit difficult to sharpen. They can sometimes be sharpened with a very good sharp manual pencil sharpener, but they often break when you use a sharpener. The best option for sharpening is with an Xacto knife and then sandpaper to get the point you want if you want a really fine point. The kit comes with sandpaper and they tell you they don't recommend using sharpeners.
