My husband goes barefoot or wears sandals all the time since he has been home and retired for over a year. I just got this foot file and it's not like those regular crappy files that don't stretch and not like those old metal rasps. It's mostly smooth, it's amazing. I passed it on to my husband and in no time his feet/heels were smooth. The dead skin fell off immediately like powder. No damage to your skin.
