Review on Ancor 312225 Electrical Insulated Terminals by Joshua Albright

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good tinned copper crimp connections with thick heat shrink tubing.

They were consistent in quality and crimping characteristics. The picture shows a 10 AWG wire crimped with the Ancor single crimp crimp tool before and after heating the heat shrink tubing. Performance was great for 10 AWG wire, performance was a little worse for 12 AWG wire, but still reliable and safe. You can see that the insulation is thin where it was crimped, but it remains intact and fully sealed after heat is applied and the insulation shrinks. The photos that follow show that the thin area created by crimping retains sufficient thickness and adhesive presence around the entire perimeter of both ends of the heat shrink tubing. tinned copper. The heat shrink tubing is thicker than many I've used and it compresses slowly, making it easy to ensure a secure seal and uniform thickness across the entire joint. Since many wires have different outside diameters, I would like to point out that my results were also obtained with Ancor brand wire. I had several components that needed to be connected and I've had good results with these wires as well.
