. When I call the dealer for a price. Now that I have your attention, I don't necessarily need to change the sunroof knob. I decided to change it because I was annoyed that the piece of rubber had gone bad. I watched a video on YouTube and it seemed easy enough, all I needed was a 10m socket, a socket extender, a ratchet and needle nose pliers. It took me 20 minutes at most. The hardest part was trying to place the needle nose pliers on the terminals to take the entire assembly off. After that there were 4 small screws holding the button in place and once they were removed the old button strap came out. Installed a new one and screwed it on. It fit perfectly and of course spending $35 on a part and doing it yourself was a much better option than going somewhere to have it replaced. TO UPDATE! After installing the part on my Veloster (equipped with a rear view camera) the sunroof release button did its job and released the sunroof. Unfortunately, the reversing camera stopped working. I'm not sure if the strap wasn't attached properly or if it was for a Veloster without a rear camera, but I had to order a different part before I could start the return process. I'm only deducting 1 star because the part (half) did what it was supposed to do.
