finally! I have found the best way to anchor my boat without having to tie and untie knots when fishing multiple locations at different depths. I operate an 18 foot flat boat on a fishing charter and the boat is set up for fly fishing so there are no spikes on the bow of the boat to tie the anchor line to. I always had to tie a loop knot at the desired length of rope and then attach a carabiner to attach the hook to the bottom of the bow. This became annoying as I kept wanting to jump out of position or untie more rope. I needed a solution for rougher days when I actually have to use the anchor when the power pole and MK-Terrova can't handle the chop or the current. Out of the box, this hook looks and feels great! I threaded my 1/2" anchor line through a 7" x 14" crab float and then to my danik hook in case I needed to quickly detach from the tarpon anchor. I can get my float, hook and anchor after a catch without fear of damaging the Danica hook in the salt water as it is made entirely of rustproof materials. I prefer anchoring at the hook than at the bow, from the duck, when it gets tough there anyway. I'm totally impressed with this product and have never written a review on Revain until now, even though I've been using Amazon for 20 years. Although this product is a little pricey, I think it's worth the price and deserves the time I needed to write this review as there is no other product like this, 5 stars!
