Easy PETG printing, made EASY!

I was actually intimidated by some of the PET and variants due to the painful first-timer experiences and reviews. I bought this 'el-cheapo' spool and wow am I amazed at how well my very first PETG print went. If I didn't already have tons of PLA & ABS in various colors, I'd be using this YOYI PETG almost exclusively. A very strong understanding of your printer and slicer settings is kindof important, as is some idea of how and where heat builds up around your hotend, what to cool (heatsink) and what not to (most of the actual print), etc.215c hotend with 60c bed. Print surface is UHU Stic rubbed lightly over PET film (which I had applied OVER the factory buildtak-like stuff o n the thin aluminum bed).Note: Product doesn't glow. I have the object and filament backlit, cuz was kinda cool looking, and potentially useful for building models or props.

Pros
  • With a weight of 2.2lbs (1kg), you can print a significant amount of objects without worrying about running out of filament
Cons
  • The filament may not be as strong or sturdy as other brands, causing printed objects to be less durable

Halfway through and over a month sitting out on my desk (mild humidity), and no problems so far. First roll of PETG and I like its properties, the transparent blue also looks cool.Cura settings for Ender 3 Pro:Nozzle: 235 CBed: 80 CPrint speed: 40initial layer speed: 15fan: 35%retraction: 5 mmno Z hopalso add a little bit to initial layer height to improve adhesion (i.e. 0.24 mm)
