This was my first bottle of rosehip oil and I plan to buy more. So far I'm happy with the results. My skin has freckles and dark spots from childhood sun damage that gradually lighten. I've been using vitamin C for a while with some improvement, but the combination of rosehip oil and vitamin C seems to make a more noticeable difference. It's not an instant cure, but I'm seeing improvement. Looking through other reviews of this and other brands, many people find that rosehip oil smells bad. Maybe it's because they expect it to smell like roses. To this I say that a little research goes a long way. ;) It is made from seeds, not flowers. Rosehip oil has a nuttier smell. The oil should also be orange or amber in color. The darker the better. Temporarily colors the skin on first application until absorbed. Some people have mentioned breakouts after using rosehip oil. This may be due to the high amount of antioxidants that pull toxins to the surface. Just a guess, but I'm not a doctor. Since I have very dry skin, it wasn't a problem for me. I also apply rosehip oil throughout the day. I'm happy with this brand, but I might try a few other brands and keep these in mind as a transition. Hope that helps.
