This is a really good alarm and water stopper. The U-Tube video perfectly explains how to install it. Mine was installed (by a plumber) with the manual bypass valve turned on, so if the valve was indeed working and had trouble turning it back on, I could manually divert the water supply to the house via a parallel copper line. The device gives me some peace of mind when nobody is at home for a long time. The service support for this device is really very good. Lightning recently struck near the house. Although there was no damage to computers or large electronics, the Floodstop device activated and shut off the water supply and beeped. It looks like a large amount of discharge from the strike must have traveled under/through the house and burned the electronics. Luckily my bypass valve allowed me to let the water flow. When I called the Floodstop service center for help, they immediately sent me a new electronics box and the unit was back up and running within 2 days.
