I I wear very, I've had glasses for a very long time, I wipe the lenses of my glasses with kitchen towels, paper towels, newspaper and more recently a set of microfiber towels. All of them, without exception, left any greasy fingerprints in the form of smudges on the lenses and simply moved the smudges around. This fabric actually absorbs stains. Now I have two rags, one for the desk and one for the rest of the house. I don't know how this fabric differs from others, but it works.
