This is a well constructed piece of furniture (almost). The first thing I noticed was the box was heavy and thats a good thing. All of the wood appears to be 1.5 or more inches thick. The round foot piece was metal reinforced along the bottom. All the joints were double bolted (almost). The seat is heavy padded.Two observations. There isn't any extra hardware so don't loose anything. More importantly, the second picture identifies a manufacturing flaw. On the right hand side, the upper bolt hole is missing. I hope this flaw doesn't bite me later because this is a nice, sturdy chair.
