I buy Kurt Adler's Nutcracker every year. This is the first where the base is not painted. It doesn't usually bother me, but I have them by the stairs and it's noticeable that the base is an "unfinished" tree. Otherwise, you'll love the quality and uniqueness of these nutcrackers!
