I received this memory to upgrade my 1998 MacBook A1278 from 2GB to 4GB. Arrived safely packaged. The memory was easy to install (look for videos online). Apparently my husband found out through some research that upgrading to 8GB doesn't bring much improvement and then causes other problems. My MacBook runs much better now. No more spinning wheels when I have Word and Firefox open at the same time. It was a great purchase. Highly recommended.
