I took the camera based on three ideas: "better simpler new than cool, but experienced" "carcasses change, but lenses remain" "technique does not solve so much as hands and their directness" Since I like to watch living beings, and the Nikon P900 I have is slow in terms of shooting speed, then 11 frames per second (in fact 9) tempted me completely in favor of the z50. Well, the price of course. The camera is small and handy. The whale lens is cool. I took some good shots with it. Dark true. But with a stub. But. And here I will immediately move on to the fact that you need to buy an FTZ adapter. Firstly, for a Z-mount, the lens is not enough. Secondly, they are expensive and not so diverse. It's one thing when professionals spend hundreds of thousands on photographic equipment, and another thing when amateurs. With FTZ, a wide market of aftermarket and lenses from other manufacturers is available. The adapter is definitely worth buying. If I took it now, I would just look for a carcass with an adapter, without a lens. But this is me afterthought. :-) At the moment I'm shooting "up close" on sigma 18-35mm 1.8 and I'm very satisfied. A lens specifically for cropped cameras. Works great with z50. "In the distance" I hook a 150-600mm tamron and am glad that the camera itself is small and light. True, when you walk into the forest on a bunch of iron, then every 100-200g counts. The battery is rubbish. You have to buy spares. The camera does not work from the network and it takes a long time to charge from the wire. Nikon's charger is traditionally inconvenient and can do nothing except an outlet. Glory to the Chinese with their chargers from anything. I'm still waiting for a false battery so that I can safely shoot from a power bank.
