I have not tried any other boot lid cleaner/guard but this one was really easy to use and the results were very good. I have a 4 year old cover that has not been treated before. It's in a garage so it's not exposed to much sun or weather, but then again it's 4 years old. So the time has come. The vacuum cleaner worked very well. I had a few spots that required extra elbow lubrication, but it didn't take much effort. It took 4 or 5 rinses to remove all of the cleaner but other than the extra water I wasn't expecting anything. I blame years of neglect of cleaning (cracks, drying, etc.) for this. The protector is very easy to apply. Microfiber cloth, spray while wiping, easy. More importantly, the lid retains most of its original luster and shine afterward. I was very pleased. It also stretches tighter and flaps less when you move. I suspect this is due to the increase in unified flexibility. It's just flatter. All in all I highly recommend it. Not a lot of work, not a lot of time, the results are really good. The only downside is of course the cost. I used a little less than half a bottle of cleaner on a full size bedspread that was 6ft wide. I assume it will be twice a full size 8ft bed. I only used about 8 bottles of repellent. Enough for several cleaning cycles.
