I was recommended by a fellow forum user to purchase one of these units for use when I am camping in West Texas.I was so impressed by it's performance and that it is extremely quiet. This last bit is very important as I camp in a tent and do so to be able to hear the wild life on the ranch.I have not yet evaluated the power usage but will do so as I will be using this where my vehicle will be out of reach. I will explore using a Lithium battery and solar cells to keep the cooler going.I recently purchased 2 more units which will be used in my micro camper. The price/performance ratio is a win.
