Seriously they are the best! We have two in the car for road trips for a 3 year old and a 1 year old and they both love to "paint" with them. They don't take up much space in the car and are a great alternative to in-car movies, video games or electronic toys. Super easy and cheap and kids can see their art come to life without the mess! There's really no mess, you just need a little water for the "color" to show up in the image. They dry well enough and can be used repeatedly. Over time they tend to fall apart, but that is after prolonged use and repeated use. They make great gifts too, we gave a few to our friends kids and their kids love them too.
