I'm returning it because I couldn't get it to work consistently or without weird tricks every time I tried to switch between devices. Here is my experience with each device I connected: Dell Precision 7510 laptop with Windows 10 - no sound or picture out of the box. Fixed audio after fixing headphone detection issue on Google. Granted, this audio issue could be a direct result of an issue with the Dell or Windows operating system. Although I didn't have it with the Pway switch I "upgraded" from. I connected the HDMI cable from the Dell Dock directly to my laptop and was able to get video on my large monitor about half the time by changing the display options in windows to other settings like Expand these displays if the re-command worked - about 50% of the time on the first try and waiting for the 10-15 seconds it took for the ad to appear was nerve wracking. Mac Mini M1 with Big Sur OS - The sound worked right out of the box, but the display worked less than half the time. Sometimes I had static or just a black screen. It was very frustrating. In the 90's I built a Hackintosh that ran Snow Leopard and it reminded me why I stopped using it and just beat the price of a real Apple Mac. I needed a permanent job with the simplest requirements such as picture and sound! Verizon FIOS TV One - Sound is ok but picture is shaky. Sometimes I got a graphic like an image at the bottom of the screen when you clicked OK, but there was no image. I don't think my ASUS IPS monitor liked the pass. It never felt like 4K, but that might be because I couldn't see after the frustration I went through. In just a few days I realized you get what you pay for. I've since bought an ATEN switch for way more than the price of this toy. I've seen reviews going back to 2014 and the biggest complaint was that it started to malfunction after four years of use. Not 4 days and not even out of the box like this Clkau. I'm not talking about ATEN, I'm talking about everything - all these new and diverse technologies worked when I first connected them to the network. Boom, instant delight. No fuss or cheating at work. Just press the buttons and hear a soft techno beep, and the selected device will work as expected. By the way, the BEEEP on Clkau was so loud that it was annoying. The instruction to turn it off didn't make any sense to me. What do the right arrows mean? There are very few instructions at all in this regard. ATEN provides an illustrated Quick Start Guide and a 40-page English user manual with diagrams. I've forgotten the lesson I learned in the past about spending more money on the right tool for the job. If this seems too good to be true, it probably is.
