I bought these for our granddaughters/three sisters aged nine, six and two. The price was reasonable in the mid $30 range but I think you get what you pay for. I thought batteries came with it and was disappointed when it didn't. So I put 12 batteries in three devices, gave them to my granddaughters and showed them how to use them. I checked with my son the next day, the batteries were already dead and the blue block stopped working. Two days later the other two didn't work either. Don't waste your money on something more expensive that might work.
