Review on Efficient Metalworking: Astro Pneumatic Tool 1442-8/32A Mandrel and Nose Piece - A Comprehensive Tool for Precise Operations by Uriel Arocha

My Astro Pneumatic tools manual lists this part as a direct replacement for my sheared (broken) 8-32 mandrel. It's not relevant. After purchasing this tool, I found that the male insert used to attach the mandrel to the tool is M8-1.25. The thread on my My Astro Pneumatic tool is M10-1.5. Obviously there have been design changes and it looks like the M8-1.25 is the new 'standard'. I'm SOL for my M10-1.5 threading tool. I can't even machine a lock nut from M10-1.5 to M8-1.25 as it prevents the rest of the tool from being assembled properly. Before ordering, please note the thread and pitch on the mounts of your respective tool.
