Revised Revised READ BEFORE BUYING!

In addition to all the good things I've mentioned, categorically DO NOT buy this router as it has serious security flaws that make it extremely EASY for attackers to hack into your router. Please don't waste money on this. Great for connecting all my devices behind my main router, everything works as advertised. I only use this product for LAN based devices, I've made many attempts to enable WiFi on the device, messing around with settings and such. but I never managed to connect more than 2 devices wirelessly (2.4). Connection was sporadic, range wasn't that great, I couldn't get the 5GHz band to work. Even if I have Mac filtering enabled, the WiFi disconnects everything that is connected, even if the addresses are entered correctly. Also, I couldn't get an HD over 500GB to be recognized by the router. The device is very buggy but works great for what I need so I give it a 4/5. Revised Review: I was finally able to get Wireless Band 2.4 to work properly with Mac filtering enabled. The problems started when I tried to change the default SSID, which is dlink-ac7**. As long as the SSID is the default SSID that comes with the router, everything works as advertised. Since I had this router, I only had to reboot it once due to a lost connection, but that could also be a fault with a nearby router. I haven't done much with the 5GHz band so far, but it seems to work correctly with the default SSID. I like Gigabit LAN speeds, especially when transferring large files over 20GB. For the price of the router when I got it ($25) it exceeded my expectations. WARNING: Before making any changes to the default settings, make sure to update your router's firmware! Otherwise you will encounter problems.
