I'm a techie, but setting up this printer was unnecessarily complicated. Step one: Download the Canon PRINT app on your smartphone. No cellphone? No luck because the printer screen only shows QR codes. You then use your phone to go to the QR code that appears on the screen. Then connect the printer to your smartphone via Bluetooth. Bluetooth control is painfully slow, so you'll have to figure out how to control it over WiFi. If you have a Mac, the standard CD will not help you. If you have a Windows PC and want to connect directly, go back to the QR code. Return to the first step. However, it is not impossible to set it up, and I finally got it working. Print quality is okay but not impressive. If you only have a smartphone/tablet to print with, this printer can meet your needs. But otherwise you can continue shopping. For more reliable printing, consider the Canon Maxify MB2120.
