My 6 year old loves crafts, we make a lot of keychains and so far I've bought rings in bulk and made everything by hand. This resulted in oddly shaped rings and shabby products that took an incredible amount of time. Of course, these things swing easily and hold up well. The price is not higher than doing everything yourself.
