Not battery operated, MUST be plugged in
These are NOT true portable humidifiers, they must be plugged into the mains. So if you're looking for one that does NOT require a power cord, keep looking. Otherwise, as far as I can tell, it works perfectly. I needed the ones that did NOT require a plug to work so they are useless to me because I can't plug them where I need them to work.
