I prefer Leviton's standard wall plates because they are made of tough, thick thermoset rather than thinner, more flexible thermoplastic nylon. However, there is a chance that they will break if you overtighten the screws, which mostly happens with 3-place boards, as the switches often don't quite align to the same depth (this can be solved with the rubber grommets that next go the screws that mount the switches before mounting the wall plate). This 3-way toggle switch/tumbler/decorative wall plate comes with 4 long screws for toggle switches and 2 short screws for decorative switches. Of course, it can be installed in any direction. The screw heads are painted white, but the paint always scratches a little on the inside of the screwdriver slot during assembly.
