First of all I'm 27 so I use an antiaging product from a preventive perspective. I was naive about retinol and started using it twice a day just like my previous serum. Big mistake! My skin was angry, bumpy in texture and dry. But I did some research and found that retinol users usually go through an adjustment period. I reduced my use to once a day before bed and got used to it quickly. My skin is smooth and definitely feels firmer. I'll continue to only use it once every other day for the foreseeable future, but I'm glad I didn't give up and instead learned about the nature of retinol. This product is great and very cheap.
