Review on Fighting Compatible X Input Preinstalled PlayStation 4 by Stan Myers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It does exactly what it says on the tin and is very easy to install

I installed this board in an original MadCatz Street Fighter Tournament Edition PS3 Battle Stick originally released as a PC compatible was advertised. . However, the fightstick only works on motherboards with a VIA to USB chipset, so I had to buy a USB PCI expander with a VIA chipset. I actually never wanted to use such a flash drive as it only worked on my PS3 and a PC for which I bought a PCI expander. I've always wanted to just use the battle joystick as a plug and play device on any PC or console I've used it on. I read about the Brook board years ago and was a bit worried about losing some of the joystick's functionality (LED lights and home button), but I found a great online guide on how to do it in the Madcatz -Incorporates a combat joystick without losing this functionality. . would have done it sooner. Installation was very easy. In fact, despite all the wires to screw in, it's deceptively easy as the order of unscrewing the arm is almost the same as the order of unscrewing the baton. for soldering, but if you're building a joystick from scratch or replacing a circuit board in an old joystick like mine and don't care about LEDs or other buttons, you can probably install this board in less than 1/2 hour. The fee might seem a little intimidating at first, but just take your time and familiarize yourself with the features of each terminal and you'll see that it's a lot easier than it sounds. There is very little documentation on the board, but there are excellent tutorials on the forums and YouTube. The only complaint I have is that the board chart on their website does not update to reflect the layout of the current board, causing multiple inputs to appear in the wrong place on the chart on the website. However, if you look closely you can see where they moved the pinout. Otherwise it works exactly as described and now my combat joystick is really ready to use. If I had to do it again, I would buy an all-round board for more compatibility. But I mostly play on PC, so for now it does everything I need and more.

Pros
  • Screw terminal block for easy installation, 20 pin connector
Cons
  • Thin
