Good size -- roughly the size of a real large egg; fit nicely in my palm. I was worried it might be a little small, but it's a good size -- not too small, not too big. As for firmness, between the three eggs, I suspect everyone will have the "right" level of resistance.My only disappointment -- and it's a minor one -- is that the eggs are quite gummy (or sticky) feeling, which isn't a problem when you're holding them, but I happened to drop one while attempting the between-the-fingers exercise and when I picked it up, it was covered in little bits of sand and lint that stuck to it from the floor. The gumminess may subside over time, though, and it was easy to wash the egg with mild soap and water. The gumminess reminded me of those kids' toys that you throw against a window and watch it walk down the glass -- pretty tacky.Overall, they're quite good and I'm pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend them to anyone else looking for a good way to exercise their hands to improve strength and dexterity.
