Review on Vornado Silver Vintage Oscillating Brushed by Klacee Westra

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Nice but bad. (Read the update for 3 years)

I really wanted to like this fan and for the most part I like it. However, it's not perfect and for the price the quality should be much better. The biggest problem I've encountered is the inconsistency of the audio. It will very rarely click or buzz softly when vibrating, making it suck like a white noise machine. He also seems a bit unbalanced because he's shaking a little. All of these flaws are pretty picky and perfectly acceptable for a $20-$50 fan, but not for a $100 fan. However, I will not return it. I like the way it looks. It's relatively quiet and pushes a lot of air out. If you share my nitpicking, I highly recommend the Rowenta VU2531. It looks more like 70's and 80's plastic, but the quality is great and it's $25 less. It's super quiet and the sound is perfectly even. If you're sticking with the old metal look, Vornado might be your best bet. 3 year old update: This fan does not age well. I still have it, but it hardly spins. I've disassembled and cleaned it several times, but it's on its deathbed. I usually have to turn it all the way for the blades to spin. Shame on you, Vornado. SHAME. BTW, Rowenta VU2531 plastic same old still works like new.
