This light is pretty good. Children love playing with different light functions and changing colors daily. This does not affect the health of the fish. My 2 tanks are within 5 feet of each other so it's pretty cool that one remote can somehow control both and they can be synced together. And if I wanted two different colors, I would just stand closer to one and click the color I want to change to. There's also a button on the cord to control the lights, if the remote is out of place you just can't dim or brighten it with that button. i have some problems I bought 2 of these (I have a 55 gallon and a 75 gallon aquarium). First off, both units had cracks in the plastic cover that protects the LED lights (this bothered me, but I figured it would be harder to return than just take care of since my glass panels and bulbs were broken). not directly above water). Second, the brackets that hold the light to the aquarium mount worked well with a 55 gallon tank, but on a 75 gallon tank they weren't wide enough to sit on. (I just lengthened it to sit straight on the aquarium strut). Overall it looks and works better than the older, bulkier aquarium hood light and that's the best part. I no longer have to change fluorescent lamps!
