First, just to get that out of the way. It's an $80 projector. If you think this thing compares to projectors that cost 3-8 times more, it's not. However, if you accept what is, then this is great value. I set it up for "baby den" and my 11 year old son loves it. We installed "AppleTV" on it and it works fine. As mentioned, the picture is "1080p" but upscaled and not true HD. Edges tend to be a little fuzzy and washed out, but then again. 80 dollars! I'm sure this will project well on any white surface but I recommend buying a cheap screen like the Excelvan 72 inch 16:9 Matte PVC Fabric 1.1 Intensity Projector Projection Screen to use with your cheap projector . This requires a screen and a darkened room. It's not super bright. So overall I'm quite happy with it. But let me repeat. 80 dollars!
