Review on πŸ”§ Danco 88103 Repair Kit for Delta/Peerless Single-Handle Faucets in Black, White, and Stainless Steel by Darryl Blumenthal

NOT PERFECT FIT - Spend an extra $5 on Delta Genuine Parts

Not very good quality. For $5, you must purchase the original Delta RP3614 kit. As mentioned, the springs are slightly longer than the originals - keep using the originals or the valve will become too tight during reassembly. Also, the thicker o-rings on the kitchen spout (replaces the Delta RP25) are a bit thinner - mine leaked a bit. - Cheap hex key (silver - danco, black - delta in the photo): it may need a bit of filing to make it fit. Also, the hex bolt on my grip was stuck and the Danco hex wrench twisted trying to loosen it. Others have complained that Danco parts don't last as long - I'll break in a year. By the way, the Delta RP77738 (Danco 86970) and Delta RP36147 kits (they contain a bullet) also work. Notes on replacement: - Before closing the shut-off valves, remove the aerator to avoid clogging. - Close the drain or plug with a rag to avoid losing parts. - Clean the channel locks with a cloth so as not to damage them. - Remove foreign bodies from inside the valve and ball. To remove mineral deposits, use vinegar or the GENTLE cleaning. - If the Danco springs are too long, use the original springs. - Replace all rubber parts even if they are not leaking. - Apply some silicone grease when replacing the o-rings on the kitchen spout - You can adjust the tightness of the valve at the top with the pins on the other end of the hex key. - Before reinstalling the aerator, run it hot and cold to flush out debris.
