Used on PCB for garage door opener

My 17 year old garage door opener (antique) works intermittently. I opened it up and plugged the connectors onto the board, there was a power/signal error. I use this conductive grease on the silver 1/2 long pins that the board connects to. How corrosion is not visible to the eye. Now it works, but there can be a bad board that flexes and loses power with use.
