I was very apprehensive about buying any product that wasn't made by my manufacturer HP, but I couldn't communicate well with the parts department in Costa Rica. In fact, the parts there were much more expensive and would have taken much longer to deliver. However, not only was this seller great at communicating with me, but he went above and beyond to ensure that the item I selected was the correct fit for my CUSTOM HP laptop, which does not have an actual model number. So it was hard! When I first started using my new power cord I was concerned because my laptop was very warm/hot. I thought I would have to send it back. So I turned it off and just used the battery until I needed to use it again. BUT after the first few days it stops. I can't explain it, all I can say is that my laptop now stays cool and I can leave it on if I want. Hooray! I foolishly (accidentally) snapped my original cord in a crib and was SO AFRAID of replacing it with exactly the right product. I was very lucky to find this seller and his product. You can trust them and their recommendations. Thank you !
