Don't use them to ferment, they will explode.
There are big ol' bubbles in the glass in every bottle. Everyone. Lonely. Bottle. I should have read the reviews but unfortunately the price put me off. Lesson Learned: Never hit the Buy Now button too quickly, and don't forget to do it. There is no way this can be safe for pressurized beverages. My kombucha and solid kombucha will shatter any jar, and with small children and pets in the house, it's just not worth the risk. I would return them if I had no other use for them and in all honesty I should do that by allowing them to sell unsafe bottles, but I'll take the loss as a lesson instead.
