They run a bit small so I would go up a size, especially if you prefer a size. -17" XL 16" -19.5" If you have a 15" calf, choose L. 16" or 17" XL. These pads have LOTS of padding, almost 1.5 inches, and absorb a lot of force. There are typical elastic leg straps and nice, heavy velcro leg straps. The outer shell is made of synthetic leather, so it should be able to withstand a lot. Each guard weighs just under 12 ounces so they won't weigh you down. Overall fantastic shin guards. Made in Pakistan. Some stitching is crooked, but this is cosmetic.
