A good product! good for shin pads

Very well padded, secure fit but it took me a few times to get used to these shin pads as they are very thick. I would still recommend these shin guards to everyone.

Great shin guards, light weight, secure fit.

They run a bit small so I would go up a size, especially if you prefer a size. -17" XL 16" -19.5" If you have a 15" calf, choose L. 16" or 17" XL. These pads have LOTS of padding, almost 1.5 inches, and absorb a lot of force. There are typical elastic leg straps and nice, heavy velcro leg straps. The outer shell is made of synthetic leather, so it should be able to withstand a lot. Each guard weighs just under 12 ounces so they won't weigh you down. Overall fantastic shin guards. Made in…

Durable for Personal Training

My husband has been using these for his training for a few years now and they hold up well to general use and abuse over time. Husband goes to the gym and also has a heavy bag at home and will use the pads everywhere so they come in very handy. Pads attached to the leg. However, this pressure can cause the edges of the straps to dig into the leg a bit. We sealed it with tape and it wore out more over time, but it was quite uncomfortable for a while. They are ideal for short bag sessions of…

Excellent protection, very comfortable, just well made.

Received them in exchange for an unbiased review. The first word that comes to mind is excellent. Fit first. I have fairly large calf muscles and they fit like a glove. Three other people I train with wanted to try them and each had their own uniform, it fit everyone. This is very important as too much play can cause bruising when pedaling hard. The same goes for tips. Your toes are mostly covered, the bones in your feet and lower legs - the coverage extends past the knee and, although it goes…

Very densely padded, comfortable and wide and secure straps

These shin guards offer excellent protection and cushioning, but so far we (nephew) have only used them for kicking the bag. There is ample padding and the straps are secure and fit very well and the toe strap is comfortable and wide enough not to dig into the heel or sole of the foot and keeps the cover in a good position on the top of the foot. The velcro straps are strong enough and I don't expect them to stretch anytime soon - probably never. We've used other guards that tend to move a bit…

Great protection but the velcro straps take a little getting used to

It took me a while to get used to these shin pads for ringside, mixed martial arts, kickboxing. I had several other shin guards and both were removable. Using the velcro straps (mid-calf and just above the ankle) on these shin guards was a different experience and took a little longer to put on. However, when I put them on, I found that they held my feet quite well. I also like the adjustable velcro straps on these shin guards as they allow me to wear sweatpants or other jogging bottoms…
