We love these fans! We recently moved into a house that was built in the 80's and it looks like none of the furnishings have been touched since construction. Between the fans and the lights, it was like living in a time capsule. I scoured the internet looking for a fan that could replace all of our current fans and settled on this one. We just love these fans and now they are in 4 rooms of our house. They are very quiet, they look good and the fan blades come in two colors (brown and black on either side of the blade) so you can choose your own color when installing the fan. I will say that the Edison bulb that came with these fans isn't particularly bright, so you might want to consider replacing it with a better bulb. Having a remote control is a nice touch too - I'm lying in bed and can turn on the fan without getting up. We had old fan boxes. It was painful, but if you just walk down the street it's pretty easy. My biggest recommendation is to be very careful that they are perfectly even. When the fan is level, it can blow out serious air, but in total silence. It is great.
