Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice Arctic 195/60 R15 88T winter by Micha Pirecki ᠌

Does not meet my expectations, it was not worth buying.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TIRE TO ANYONE! I didn’t have to change what I tested myself and time (Nokian hap). When I sold the previous car, I gave it away on winter tires. There would be enough rubber for a few more seasons and 80% of spikes remained there ! Some pros: After buying a new car, I was faced with the choice of winter tires. Taking into account frequent trips to the countryside, the rubber should be passable, it should keep the car well on a slippery road, in winter porridge and naturally studded. I monitored for a long time, read reviews and still came to the choice of this rubber, with Some kind of cool, fancy, oval spike. The car was a heavy Land Cruiser 200, on the previous, the same model of a car, there was a 2022-made Nokian hapa 8. Something was led by the reviews and decided to change the manufacturer. Cons below: On the highway, it keeps the road at 4, in snow porridge at 3- (when overtaking you score), you feel very insecure, this was not the case on Nokian. Passability in loose snow, on the floor of the wheel and above 4-4+. (like a cow on ice). Well, now about the most important thing! After the first winter season, the spikes flew out% 30-40, they just somehow miraculously disappear from the wheels. Taking into account the fact that the car is heavy, all-wheel drive and you can’t touch it with axle boxes. After the second season, the spikes left% 40. For the third season, I use it as Velcro, when the window is open, you can’t even hear the rustle of spikes. But the tread itself is in perfect condition. And the most unpleasant thing is that air began to come out of the holes from where the spikes flew out, you can even see bubbles on the wet wheel, though not on all wheels, on two. I hesitated to ride to repair them in a tire shop, they even offered me to put cameras, but then what to do with the sensors!
