If you order a cheap bench you will get a cheap bench. That's what you should expect if you decide to do it. This is NOT high quality, not super stable, not 100% perfect. But it has a drawer that works and has cleaned up my hallway a lot, and at this price point it's actually not bad. Important to note: The instructions are NOT very clear. You must use your own deductive skills to piece it together. I have a lot of experience assembling furniture (I really enjoy assembling Ikea style furniture) and it was still very easy for me to assemble despite the lack of clear instructions. - comes without tools. You will need to provide your own screwdriver to put this together. Some cam bolts are in a tight spot and you'll need a small one to fit them (attached photo of this spot and a small tool I used that I had in my garage) - the top is not attached in any way. Still, it stays in place surprisingly well. It didn't move when my husband and I sat on it. If you try to open the drawer while holding the top, you'll most likely slide the top off instead of opening the drawer (which actually gives you access to the drawer's contents since it's right under the top). I plan to re-upholster the top (it's a very crimson color which I don't like) and then just use some hot glue to hold it in place. The upper doesn't have much support either. I weigh about 120 pounds and when I sit on it the table top flexes a bit and presses against the front of the drawer. If someone very heavy sits on it I imagine it would probably sag a lot more and could ruin the drawer slides since there is so much pressure on the front of the drawer pushing it down. My husband is 190 and we had no problems but I don't think I would want anyone heavier trying to sit on him. It wobbles slightly from right to left when moving while seated. We sit on it just to put our shoes on and yet it doesn't feel like it's going to collapse. it just doesn't seem the most durable. However, this bank also has its good sides. The drawer slides out surprisingly well and can hold a lot of stuff. My husband wears a size 11.5 shoes and they fit very well, there is only a very small bit of the heel that sticks out (photo attached) so this is a great size in that regard too. It matches our entrance perfectly and I feel comfortable enough to let our guests sit on it to take off their shoes. While there are things to consider I will still say that I am very happy with my purchase as it suits our needs for light use. I hope this helps you make a better decision!
