Review on Foster Grant Conan Rectangle Multifocus Reading Glasses by Aaron Campbell

These glasses seem like a good buy: $34.99 Multi-focus glasses. And indeed the correction is not bad. Also, the glasses fit quite well for the price. However, the design of the glasses is rather flimsy. I ordered a pair in June and I liked them for about a month. Then they broke in a spot near the right temple that couldn't be repaired. I blamed it on bad luck and considering the bargain price, I ordered another pair in August. I treated them very carefully and they worked for about a month. Then, 3 days (!) after the end of the return period, they also broke when I (rather carefully) removed them from my shirt pocket. I have always treated both glasses with care and kept them in their cases. when I wasn't wearing them. But their construction is quite flimsy at the temples, with no spring or other mechanism to absorb even the slightest load. I've included an illustration of the gap and I suspect many other buyers have had similar experiences. I would advise buyers to avoid these glasses until Foster Grant improves on their design. UPDATE (September 5th, 2016): Just wanted to add that I have reported this situation to Revain Customer Support. To my surprise, the purchase price was refunded even though the warranty expired a few days ago. Revane is the BEST!
