This review is for the Vanmass Air Vent car phone mount. I had another car phone mount with an air vent but the mount stopped working (like this one, horizontally) but it didn't have a base to hold the phone. I've dropped it a few times over the past few years, but it didn't matter. With that base to hold the phone I wouldn't drop it. I love that this one expands/releases and tightens on both sides of the phone. A grip pad is always good as I've had others where it still moved, but with a grip pad on the sides it offers a snug fit without damaging your phone. I use this with Galaxy Note 9 and have no problems. It also easily fits my work phone, an iPhone 7. The release button is larger than my previous mount, but that doesn't make a huge difference to me. I like the 2 clamps that come with it as I have horizontal vents, but the other car I drive has round vents that are a cross and have less spacing. So the clips are a nice plus so you can choose what's right for you. So far I haven't had any problems and I definitely recommend it! I hope this continues for at least a few more years.
