Motion detection doesn’t work

I wanted to like these. They are easy to install and the light quality is good. My issue is that the motion detectors don’t work. At all. Also, no matter how clean you make the surface of where the adhesive strip goes, it falls off after a while. I honestly wouldn’t care about the motion detectors if the adhesive strips would adhere to where I put them but combine the issues together and I wouldn’t buy these again.

I like the lights and that I can change colors. The remote control however is a different matter. Every time I use my remote for TV or any other remote, the lights come on… very frustrating !! I have to use the remote that came with the lights to turn them off. The TV REMOTE turns the lights on every time I turn on TV or change channels, actually every button on the TV I touch causes the lights to come on.
