Maggots in a spoon. Do not buy!

We bought these to replace some of our old wooden spoons. When I opened the package, everything looked great. We have found that some spoons have smaller handles (in length) than others, making it difficult to use if you have large hands or are working with some type of utensil. To put that aside, we hand washed and dried them and placed them in our canister on the counter for later use. One day I was cleaning up a little and noticed that something was stuck in some of the holes in the slotted spoon. At first it looked like rice, but we were skeptical as we wouldn't use this spoon for anything with rice. My husband and I found that we didn't use this spoon at all so there's no reason it should be dirty. I took a toothpick to remove the inside and discovered it was GRUB! They weren't on any other item and we don't have a problem with maggots. I was going through the reviews and saw one review that said mold was growing inside and at first glance it looks like mold in a few places but it's most likely a maggot's nest like the other reviewer (they just caught it , before the larvae emerged). ). I don't know why this happened with this item but based on other reviews and manufacturing the holes are not finished and rinsing can result in excess moisture not being able to drain properly. We will NOT be using this spoon and I am hesitant to use others now.
