Great little machine. There is definitely a learning curve. You can buy it cheaper on AliExpress but with a long delivery time. Update in a month: This is an amazing car. Of course there were problems at the start. The assembly instructions weren't very good, but other customers have made great videos. Correct cable connection is crucial. The software is ok (LaserGRBL), I bought LightBurn for $40, great software. Be patient, the software is difficult for a beginner. Use YouTube for tutorials, join the Ortur user group on Facebook, be patient. I love this little car. I only engrave wood but the possibilities are endless. Cutting wood is difficult for a blue diode laser. I don't plan on cutting anything, it requires thin wood and a few passes. But you can cut paper and cardboard. The supplied laser glasses are cheap. I need laser glasses that fit over my prescription glasses. Raven comes to the rescue. I also bought a G8 lens to replace the stock lens, perfect engraving. UPDATE in 6 months Still working, this is a great little machine for engraving wood and other materials. Some really good results on coasters, cutting boards and logo making. I had no problems with the car. Learning and tweaking software is the biggest learning curve. The G8 lens is really great for engraving, it allows for a lot more detail but requires the lens to be focused to the correct focal point. I added a Z-axis adjuster because the optimal focus height is 35mm and the ability to adjust the Z-axis up and down eliminates the need to raise or lower the workpiece.
