Best Value (Honda Civic Coupe EX-L 2012)

The long drive raised some concerns about wind and road noise while driving. I had no idea how much soundproofing my car was missing. So I started looking around Revain to find the cheapest soundproofing per square foot. After stumbling upon this I wanted to see how much of a difference it would make and how difficult just doing the doors would be. Each door (2 total) took about 1 1/2 hours which I did on different days. This made a HUGE difference in wind noise and I highly recommend starting there. After seeing how it worked I was ready to buy more and take the plunge of re-doing the whole car. Then I made the trunk and used about 20 square feet of material. This made a big difference to engine noise and road noise, which were usually much louder. There I could also reach some of the side panels from the inside, which reduced wind noise. Finally, I did the whole cabin in one day. It was hard. It took about an hour or two to remove the front seats, trim pieces, center console, rear seats, and headliner. Then the carpet came out and everything was cleaned. It took a few more hours to distribute those gummy things, and then it finally took another two hours to put it all back together. In total I spent about 8 hours in the car to get everything done. Was it worth it? I think for the price I paid and for the DIY aspect, yes. It was easy but took a lot of time. The ride was as luxurious as a civilian car could get and I would recommend this product. I could actually hear my Bluetooth calls and people could hear me loud and clear. TLDR: Takes a lot of time and effort. Adds a nice touch and reduces headaches.
