This tool has a through hole in the center for another sprocket to go through. I used this pulley bushing to remove the pulley from the alternator on my 2002 VW Golf. Worked perfectly, although my 12 tooth tip that I had to put in this part had to be ground cylindrical to a smaller diameter to fit through the hole in this bushing.
